The training school will be hosted by the Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University. It is open to scholars of all academic stages, ranging from bachelor students to established researchers, who need to get started with programming.
It is part of the Training Digital Scholars: Knowledge Exchange between V4 and Austria Series financed by the Visegrad Fund Project No. 21820079 and organized by partners of the DARIAH Central European Hub, in coordination with the DigiLing Summer school.
In this training school, you will familiarize yourself with the basic programming concepts while using Python NLTK, the leading Python library suite for human language data. For more information about the lectures, see the teaser.

The training school is free, but you have to apply for registration by March 10, 2019. 3-5 trainees will get reimbursed up to EUR 400 upon providing the originals of their travel receipts. You will only be considered for reimbursement when you apply for it in the registration form and commit to a presentation in the Brag & Poster Session. We reserve the right to choose the individual participants as well as the reimbursement grantees based on their research/study interests and motivation. The capacity of the course is limited to 25 students.
Non V4/Austria participants are also welcome!
