The following is selected short local information for Prague. You can find more info e.g. on Wikitravel.
In the Czech republic, we use Czech crowns (CZK, Kč). The current CZK-EUR rate is about 25,8 CZK / 1 EUR. A simple restaurant lunch costs between CZK 150 - 200 (beware of tourist traps).
To get to Malostranské náměstí (Venue of the Training School), the best option is to take bus #119 from the airport to its terminal stop Nádraží Veleslavín. From there, you can either take tram #20 that goes directly to Malostranské náměstí, or – which may be a little faster – you can take metro to station Malostranská and from there tram #12, #15, #20, or #22 to Malostranské náměstí (one stop).
Prague has a well developed and reliable public transport, with the following prices for tickets, which are valid on buses, metro, and trams (more details here):
You can buy tickets in slot machines in the underground stations, in most newsstands, specialized public transport shops, Prague transport information centers at the airport and the main railway station, in the mobile app or per SMS (make sure to check out whether your provider is not blocking this service before you get on - maybe this is why this service is only offered in Czech). You can change between the buses, metro, and tram for no additional charge as long as your ticket has not expired. Remember to validate your ticket as soon as you get on the bus/tram or in a metro lobby by sticking it into a yellow machine with a green glowing arrow, or you may be subject to a fine of 800 CZK if you are caught. Each type of ticket should be validated only once – the first time you start to use it (never when you change).
You can consult this app any time. We offer a selection of our proven lunch places.
This is our favorite: Ananta. All-you-can-eat daily menu for CZK 130 and water for free. Hare-Krishna style Veggie food. Do not study the menu; it is always mixed vegetables with rice, lentil/vegetable soup, a small salad and halva for desert on a compartment plate. Three tram stops away.
Dhaba Beas is a franchise chain. The closest one is in Victora Huga str., Tram 20, 12, 15. Four tram stops away. A very tiny bistro, sooner a takeaway. Others are regular restaurants.
Natureza - mixed experience.
In-house: Profesní Dům.
Closest outside the faculty building: Ferdinanda.
Round the corner: Konírna. Fine dining, traditional Czech cuisine in a modern way. Very expensive even at lunchtime, unless you go for the weekly menu (in Czech only) and sit inside.
Totally luxurious food as well as interior, very good value for the money at lunchtime: Café Savoy, two stops away.
Rich and savory Czech cuisine, a cheap but good restaurant chain: Kolkovna.
Three tram stops away: Vidličky a nože.
