European Masters Program Language and Communication Technologies
The Erasmus Mundus European Masters Program in Language and Communication Technologies (LCT) is designed to meet the demands of industry and research in a rapidly growing area. It offers education and training opportunities for the next generations of leaders in research and innovation. It provides students with profound knowledge and insight into the various disciplines that contribute to the methods of language and communication technologies and it strengthens their ability to work according to scientific methods. Moreover, the students acquire practice-oriented knowledge by choosing appropriate combinations of modules in Language Technology, Computational and Theoretical Linguistics, and Computer Science.
The LCT program involves studying one year each at two different universities of the consortium. After completing all study requirements, the student will obtain two already approved Master of Science/Arts degrees with legal value in the countries of issue.
The LCT Masters program has been successfully implemented since 2007 with funding from the Erasmus Mundus Programme. Due to its high quality, the LCT program has been awarded by the European Commission/EACEA an Erasmus Mundus Brand Name (EMBN) by which it commits itself to maintain the requirements and level of excellence expected from an Erasmus Mundus Masters Course.

Student mobility tracks:
Every student studies one year each at two different European consortium partner universities. As an optional part of their study plan, students may spend a research/study period at one of the non-European partner universities.

For incoming students 2014: Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available for intake 2014.
The EM LCT Master has successfully passed the highly competitive selection of the EU. Out of hundreds of study programs, LCT has once again been considered one of the best European Master programs and the EU will grant Erasmus Mundus scholarships for another 5 year period.
Under the Erasmus Mundus Brand Name program, the LCT program also accepts applications from students who have their own funding.
Summary of Study Programme:
The course consists of Compulsory Modules and Advanced Modules in Language Technology and Computer Science, complemented by a Project, and a Masters thesis, for a total of 120 ECTS credits.
